About

Hello!

I began my wellness journey in 2011, when a friend gave me a bottle of passionflower tincture, and from that day I fell in love with the healing power of herbs.

I started out like most Americans, using over the counter medications like a bandaid on my symptoms and going through the day without really thinking about my body or how to properly take care of it. As a child, I remember going to the doctor constantly, and receiving antibiotics for all kinds of illnesses. After years of damage, as a young adult, I realized my continual use of bandaid medicine was no longer working. But something changed with that first little tincture bottle, and I started to be mindful of the foods I ate, I started reading ingredients on the foods I ate and even the skincare I used, and I began learning more about the healing power of plants.

When my first son was born in 2014, I was committed to doing things "differently", from having a home birth, to cloth diapering, and even when it came to caring for colds and first aid. The summer he was born, I planted the herb lemon balm, known as the "elixir of life", and I learned to make my first tincture. I began crafting elderberry syrup and other herbal remedies with the intention of supporting the health of my friends and family. I immersed myself in herbalism, studying widely and completing focused training courses, gradually expanding my knowledge and skill. Over time, this purposeful practice grew into a business, allowing me to create high-quality herbal remedies and guide other families in their wellness journeys. I love working with plants and providing care that nurtures both my children and the broader community, naturally and thoughtfully.

Over the years, I have completed over 700 hours of formal herbal and plant-based medicine education, including flower essence therapy; along with trainings in craniosacral fascial therapy, craniosacral therapy, birth doula, and birth education classes. This wide variety of healing modalities has helped me support people in all walks of life, with a focus on the young family, and to offer resources and information to those on their wellness journeys. Most importantly, this learning journey of my own has rooted me in the knowledge that our bodies are made to heal.

Graceful Bear Wellness is an invitation to you, to find true healing within.
